On September 11, the welcoming reception for all the delegates who attended the World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) took place solemnly at the National Conference Center of Vietnam (NCC).

WEF ASEAN 2018 took place from September 11th to 13th in Hanoi, bringing together heads of ASEAN countries, senior leaders of partner countries and about 1,000 representatives of multinational corporations, ASEAN and international businesses, with around 800 local firms.

Speaking at the event, Hanoi People's Council Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc sent the appreciation to the Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Organizer for supporting Hanoi to hold a reception to welcome the WEF ASEAN 2018. In the context of extensive international integration, Hanoi is considered as one of the two largest economic centers in Vietnam and recognized by the business community as a successful business destination for many investors and businesses.

WEF President Borge Brende emphasized that ASEAN has become one of the fastest growing regions in the world. In particular, Vietnam is a prominent development partner of WEF. Through the party, Mr. Borge Brende expressed his appreciation for the thoughtful preparation and warm reception of the host country that made a great contribution to the success of the conference.
