About the Meeting
The conference is to evaluate the results of the 8th conference held in Yangun, 2017, and continue to discuss the cooperation on traditional medicine and pharmacy of countries in the Mekong River basin. By hosting the conference, Vietnam affirmed the role of traditional medicine in health care, especially developing the local health network, including traditional medicine in health care.
Within the framework of the conference, there were a number of activities such as exhibitions on traditional medicine, unique healing methods by traditional medicine demonstration as well as international scientific conferences. Through these activities, the Conference is a place to introduce, exchange experiences and share information on traditional medicine applications in community health care; promote Vietnam's traditional medical achievements and products; introduce the achievements in scientific research on traditional medicine and pharmacy in the Mekong countries.
In addition, at the conference, the parties will propose the content of cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the Mekong river basin; Vietnam and China on conservation and development of traditional medicine and pharmacy; Continue to build specific cooperation activities in the area of traditional medicine and pharmacy of the member countries in the following years.
