On September 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized the Vietnam ICT Investment Forum (VIIF) along with the India-ASEAN ICT Expo with the theme "Digital Connection in Industry 4.0.". VietnamEvent is proud to organize this program.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam said that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is creating unprecedented transformations in all fields of economy, social life, and even individuals. It is the emergence of new business models, the change in the process of production, and the shift in industries and services.

VietNam ICT Investment Forum 2018 (VIIF 2018) is organized to assist other parties in identifying the importance of digital connectivity in Industry 4.0. In particular, investment in digital infrastructure, data infrastructure, exploiting internet broadband, 4G network and 5G investment roadmaps ensure network security. Take advantage of Vietnam's position in the region; Encourage Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate in the investment in digital field of countries in Greater Mekong Subregion, such as Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar and Southeast Asia.

At the Symposium, four thematic workshops took place in two days (27 and 28–9), focusing on the following topics: Investment Policy on Digital Connectivity to meet Industrial Revolution 4.0; ASEAN digital connectivity; Digital Solutions and Services on the 4G and 5G platforms; and Future Urban Life.

On the sidelines of the conference, the India - ASEAN ICT Expo attracts the participation of 30 Indian and Vietnamese IT and telecom companies.
